Reflection #2
I am in the group that is writing a case study about the Center for Humane Technology. I am at the stage now where I have created an outline, and I’m trying to find either articles that have been found during class or new articles about the sections I have outlined for my portion of the case study. My portion of the case study is in the perspective that the cofounders and the center are doing good things for consumers and trying to consciously take a look at the tech industry and create good outcomes with the use of AI.
At the moment, it is a slow process and a bit difficult for me to come up with 3000 words. I think it is because I am trying to outline the information I have and stay within those confines without going down a rabbit hole of information. My topic is humanism, but the central focus of my entire portion is putting humans at the forefront of AI. This entails defining humane technology and exploring the various concepts within the concept of humanism. As I’m creating my paragraphs, it seems more and more that I need to look up other articles to reference a new idea that I have come up with pertaining to the topic. Also, trying to tie all the subsections together is a bit difficult because I want it all to flow in a logical order and not jump from one random topic to another and none of them correlate to each other.
For the most part, I think my team is communicating fairly well. There are a couple of hiccups here and there, but I think that is inevitable with any group. I think Jayden is a good project manager in the sense that he communicates well and keeps us on track.
